What we’re looking for

We are seeking a dynamic and driven Director of Academic Solutions to accelerate our growth across a multi-state territory. This is a hunter role focused on identifying and acquiring new accounts, with significant opportunity to drive expansion within your first-year clients. As an experienced sales professional, you excel at building and executing strategic sales plans while maintaining a robust pipeline. You thrive on prospecting and love the thrill of the chase, but understand that sustainable growth comes from building strong relationships and delivering real value to clients.

What you’ll do

  • Identify, prospect, and acquire new accounts within the assigned multi-state territory.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Own the complete sales process, from initial outreach through closing.
  • Partner with Implementation and Client Success teams to ensure seamless onboarding and drive customer adoption.
  • Identify and capitalize on upsell opportunities during the first year of acquisition.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders in newly acquired accounts to drive revenue growth and ensure long-term success.
  • Utilize CRM tools to track activities and maintain accurate pipeline data
  • Leverage industry insights and market trends to identify strategic opportunities in your territory.
  • Conduct regular client meetings and presentations to demonstrate the value of our solutions.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and webinars to network and promote Science Interactive.

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in the education sector
  • You have a proven track record of exceeding sales targets through new business acquisition
  • You’re skilled at building relationships and influencing decision-makers at all levels
  • You have strong negotiation and closing skills, with a consistent record of winning new business
  • You’re highly motivated with a relentless focus on achieving sales goals
  • You thrive in fast-paced environments and adapt quickly to market changes
  • You excel at presenting complex information clearly and persuasively
  • You’re data-driven and leverage CRM tools to track performance and make strategic decisions
  • You stay current with industry trends and continuously refine your approach
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address client challenges
