Our ready-to-go kits are designed by PhD-level scientists, but you have the flexibility to choose the labs that best fit your curriculum. You can select from our extensive library of over 460 hands-on and digital experiments to create a kit that aligns with your course objectives.

You can mix and match from our library of over 480 labs across 15 disciplines to create a unique learning experience for your students. Our team of experts is also available to help you select the most appropriate labs based on your syllabus.

Students follow lab-specific disposal instructions provided in each experiment. We design labs around microscale chemistry, which minimizes waste and risk. Disposal falls into three categories:

• Sink disposal for approved, diluted, low-hazard solutions
• Trash disposal for neutralized solids and non-reactive materials
• Reuse/storage for any materials needed for future labs

Each lab includes explicit disposal guidance, so students never guess, and instructors don’t have to create separate protocols.

Students can either keep, reuse, or responsibly dispose of their lab materials. Many items are reusable (glassware, tools, measuring devices), so students often keep them for future courses. Consumable materials are typically used during labs and any remaining materials can be disposed of safely using the same guidance provided in the lab instructions.

For institutions using on-campus kits, schools can also choose a Full Kit with Refills or a Consumables Kit to reuse the durable materials in their own labs. 

On average, kits are typically packaged and shipped from our warehouse within 2-3 business days.

Yes, we can ship kits directly to your campus bookstore. We have established processes for working with bookstores and can provide them with the necessary information to stock and sell the kits to your students.

Yes, we support international shipping and students taking courses overseas. Additional shipping costs/times may apply. We also provide access to digital labs so students can get started with pre-labs, safety training, and more so they’re fully prepared when their materials arrive.

Inclusive Access (or course fee) is the most common and recommended approach for students to acquire their kits. By including fees in tuition that can be covered by financial aid, you can ensure that students will have access to all materials needed to improve scientific literacy.

The price of the kit includes all the hands-on materials, access to the digital lab content, and our lab management platform.

Our lab management platform integrates directly with your LMS so students are able to access it directly from the LMS. They will receive an enrollment link from their instructor to create an account.

Yes, our platform seamlessly integrates with all major Learning Management Systems (LMS), including Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, and D2L/Brightspace with LTI 1.3 compliance. This allows for easy access to content and automatic grade syncing.

We offer comprehensive support for both instructors and students. We have a dedicated support team available to assist students and instructors with any issues. Our help center provides a wealth of on-demand resources, including tutorials, guides, and FAQs.

Our Curriculum Development team continually updates and refines our materials to be compatible with the standards of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) 2004, and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 using the Web Content Accessibility 2.1 Guidelines.

Each lab is divided into three sections: Exploration (30 minutes), Experimentation (1-2 hours), and Evaluation (30 minutes). The total time to complete a lab can vary depending on the complexity of the experiment, but this information is clearly outlined for students so they can plan their time accordingly.

Yes, our Lab Portal is highly customizable. All aspects of the lessons and assignments can be customized as needed. Instructors should reach out to our implementation team for more information.

We provide a robust set of grading tools designed to streamline the assessment process while maintaining flexibility for meaningful feedback. Our platform offers instructors multiple approaches to grading, such as automatic grading, manual review, advanced filter, and more, allowing them to choose the method that best fits their workflow. Additionally, our platform syncs to your LMS so everything stays organized in one place where you already manage your courses.

Our at-home labs are designed with safety as a top priority. We use microscale quantities of chemicals to minimize risk, and all of our biological specimens are formalin-free and non-virulent. We provide all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) in our kits, along with mandatory safety training, and 100% liability coverage for our lab kits and curriculum.
